Welcome to OA-North View
At OA-North View, our ethos is rooted in helping, supporting and guiding pupils in their learning towards academic and vocational success, alongside their personal development. Our aim is to ensure every pupil feels understood, valued and empowered to move forward positively in their education and in life.
We celebrate our pupils' individual personalities, support their needs and share in the hopes of families. By building strong relationships and understanding each young person as an individual, we create a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, respected and ready to learn.
We identify each pupil's pathway, planning carefully to inspire and support them towards increased independence and improved educational outcomes. We recognise that a child whose behaviour pushes you away is often a child who needs connection before anything else, and this belief sits at the heart of our approach.
A child whose behaviour pushes you away is a child who needs connection before anything else.
We believe in the Olive Way and our core values are:
Ambition: All challenges can be overcome and education is an important lifelong journey.
Reflection: Learning from experiences and developing a capacity to improve further.
Determination: Not giving up on those who have not experienced success.
Conviction: Everyone has the capacity to reach their potential.
These are reflected and role modelled in everything we do as adults to support our students. Our approach is one of great care and high expectation for, and of, every pupil regardless of their prior experiences and challenges. We deliver a broad, high quality curriculum with a wide range of interventions and support systems in place.
We strongly believe in a culture of community and working with our families is pivotal to that approach. Please don’t hesitate to contact me by emailing kerry.geary@oliveacademies.org.uk if you would like to visit OA-North View or need any further information.
